1 - The location and amazing views 2 - The friendliness of the hotel staff 3 - The genuine feel of an old, well-kept place - loved the creaking floors, the old wood, the stones with history - a wonderful break from the 90-ish boutiqu-ey, loungey, minimalist spaces that have popped up everywhere, many without decent common spaces anywhere.
1 - Impossibility to share a spacious accomodation as a family with small children - there's neither a large suite nor communicating doors between adjoining rooms. (For us, this meant splitting the parents who took turns sleeping in the child's room.) 2 - Poor sports arrangements and detailed area information and service - in an area with lots of canoeing, trekking, fishing possibilities. For instance, the hotel could offer walking / trekking guides coming to the hote, just like personal ski instructors can come to one's hotel in the Alps. 3 - The fires in the region - completely out of the hands of the hotel to correct, but a constant feature every Summer that smells everywhere, makes the air dense, and even frightens a bit.

Nice building. Good swimming pool
Bad service specially at the restaurant: much too slow. it was announced by Booked.net that my room had a "stunning" view: I got a room with a little window and no view. Deficient light in the room and bathroom. Shabby furnitures. And above everything: much too expensive for what I got.

Excellent staff - couldn't be more helpful or nice, wonderful views. Overall charming.
Small bathroom with poor light, and some humidity in ceiling. We went on a promotion, if I had payed full price I'd say rooms should be better, but for the price we paid it was excellent.
